No Tricks, Only Treats This Year for Your Pediatric Patients | Health Care Staffing of Tennessee, Inc.
Happy Halloween! Well, while it might not be Halloween quite yet, it is October, which means the Halloween season is upon us. And while your pediatric patients might not be able to fully participate in all the Halloween activities, that doesn’t mean they have to miss out entirely on the holiday. The team at Health Care Staffing of Tennessee, Inc. wants you to get inspired to help your pediatric patients enjoy Halloween with these tips!
Don’t Let Your Patients Miss Out on the Fun!
Halloween is a time for children to be able to dress up and be anyone but themselves. And while they’re sick, children want to be anything but sick. Therefore, allow them the opportunity (as much as possible) to be someone other than themselves by helping them get dressed up and enjoy the Halloween festivities.
During the month, incorporate crafts to make decorations for his or her room in time for Halloween! No matter what type you choose, crafts can help get your patient in the Halloween spirit, while also helping him or her to have some fun time during his or her day.
Also, leading up to the day, break out some of your favorite Halloween movies to watch, especially during the days that are a little bit harder on your patient than others.
Some of our favorite Halloween movies and shows include:
- Hocus Pocus
- It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
- Casper
- Coraline
- Monster House
- The Addams Family
- The Witches
- Hotel Transylvania
Of course, remember to always ask parental permission in case there are movies parents don’t want their child watching.
