Bring a Smile This Spring | Health Care Staffing of Tennessee, Inc.
At Health Care Staffing of Tennessee, Inc., our pediatric patients want to be where the other kids are, especially during the spring months. Therefore, it’s vital our team does what we can to make sure they are having as much fun inside as they would outside.
While what would really make your pediatric patients feel better is being healthy and running around outdoors on a nice, sunny spring day, that’s not a reality right now. Try to help them have some fun of their own with these ideas, including:
Playing Games
Liven up an afternoon with your patients’ favorite games, like Chutes and Ladders, Guess Who?, Go Fish, Crazy Eights and Uno. Games that they’ve played 100 times but that never grow old. Hide-and-seek can also be a fun game. However, try not to push your patients too much, physically. Instead, hide toys that are easily accessible and close by for them to find. Hide within their limits.
Get Crafty
Whether it’s making a rainbow out of construction paper, using the child’s handprint to make a flower card or sponge-painting a butterfly cutout, the sky’s the limit when it comes to creating a craft with your patients during spring. And if your patients feel up to it, let them just use their imagination when coming up with a spring craft to make for the day. Be sure to display the craft when completed to help brighten up the room, too!
